Glass 2008 Held at Beijing in April 2008

The 19th China
International Glass Industrial Technical
Exhibition (China Glass 2008) will be staged
at the China International Exhibition
Center in Bejing on 10-13,
April 2008. It is another grand gathering of
global glass community. This exhibition is
organized by the Chinese Ceramic Society and
co-organized by the China National
Association for Glass Industry and the
Chinese Architectural and Industrial Glass
Assocaition, and run by the Beijing Zhonggui
Exhibition Co., Ltd,.
The China
International Glass Industrial Technical
Exhibition (China Glass) has been approved
by the Chinese Government and held every
year alternately at Shanghai (in odd years)
and Beijing (in even years). It has enjoyed
high reputation worldwide.
China Glass
was launched for the first time at Shanghai
in 1986. During its development, it has been
all along supported by all glass-related
governmental departments and nationwide
industrial associations of China, including
the Chinese Building Materials Federation,
China National Light Industry Council, China
Machinery Industry Federation, China
Association for Science and Technology,
China National Association for Glass
Industry and Chinese Architectural and
Industrial Glass Association. Owing to
uninterrupted innovation and development in
the past two decades, China Glass has become
a significant international glass exhibition
as famous as glasstec held in Düsseldorf,
Germany and VITRUM held in Milan, Italy, and
serves as an exhibition platform of the
largest scale and greatest commercial
significance in the Chinese glass industry.
China Glass
2007 covered an area of 46,000 square meters and
there were 707 exhibitors coming from 24
countries: China, the USA, Germany, Italy,
the UK, Belgium, France, Japan, Finland,
Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands,
R.O.Korea, Sweden, Czech, Singapore,
Indonesia, Canada, Australia, Russia,
Israel, Jordan, India and Syria. Among them,
235 are foreign exhibitors, including 4
state exhibitors’ groups from Germany,
Italy, the US and Belgium respectively. The
exhibition had more than 30,000 professional
visitors, including 2729 foreign ones from
110 countries:

They came to this show particularly for
business purpose.. Among them, trade and
purchasing groups from Korea, Poland,
Hungary, Rassia, Ukrane and the US came to
the exhibition especially for business
activities. Therefore, this exhibition is
oriented not only towards the huge Chinese
market, but also towards broad world
markets, especially the markets of rapidly
developing and emerging countries.
Internationally renowned companies from
various fields of the global glass industry
attended this show to demonstrate their
latest technology, equipment and products,
which represent the new level of the current
development of the international glass
industry. Chinese companies displayed a
great deal of new equipment and products,
which are highly applicable with low price
and high quality. This exhibition provided
so many professional visitors from all parts
of the world with a good occasion and a good
site to conduct technical exchanges, trade
talks and to seek technical and economic
partners.

Automatic Control Systems for Glass
Production:
Batch weighing
and mixing systems; Furnace batch charging,
melting, homogenizing, combustion, electric
boosting, bubbling system and related
technology; color/flint glass forehearth
with stirrer and annealing lehrs and
decorating lehrs etc; various forming and
cold-end processing equipment including flat
glass cutting machine, quality inspection
system on/out line; the I.S. machine for
variety bottles and the glassware forming
machines including gob feeder, pressing,
blowing, burn-off, crack-off, rim toughing

Refractories, Raw Materials and Subsidiary
Materials:

high-grade refractories for flat, container
and fiber glasses industries; various
grinding, polishing, bounding, sealing,
drying and coating materials;
screen-printing material, paint, polymer,
PVB film; metals and precious metals, etc.
China Glass
2008 will have an exhibition area of more
than 53,000 sqm and so far over 600
companies including more than 200 foreign
companies from 21 countries have officially
applided for participating in this event.
Germany, Italy, the US and Belgium are
organizing their state exhibitors’ groups to
the exhibition and they will have
significantly larger exhibition areas
compared with China Glass 2007. The lager
and larger exhibition scale and increasingly
diversified exhibits of the show will
certainly bring to the worldwide visiting
companies a huge business opportinity.
